Many federal, state, and local permits require that you consider the historic uses of a region before initiating a project. The HistoricMap package provides you with the background information you need to meet many of these standards, including those specified by the ASTM

IVS has orthophotos for most of the state from the 70s, 80s and 90s. The HistoricMap package also provides historic and current topographic maps for your study site. As a bonus, Sanborn Fire Insurance maps are consulted and reviewed whenever available.
