GASB-34 / Asset GIS

Municipalities have to maintain an accurate inventory of their assets, the dollar value of these assets, and condition, among other attributes.  Such assets as culverts, roads, bridges, signs, water and sewer systems, are but a few of the assets required to be accounted for under GASB-34.

It will also be the responsibility of the municipality to generate reports of these assets, displaying that the assets are being maintained at an acceptable level.  All of this can be accomplished using AssetGIS.  

AssetGIS integrates with the MicroPAVER program in order to maintain the road inventory.  Road segment distresses are entered and the the road condition is calculated based on the extent and severity of these road distresses.

The program is designed to have the same general look and feel for each attribute, yet customized to display attributes unique to each asset.  The user can review existing data, edit/update the data, or add new features and data through the AssetGIS interface.

AssetGIS can generate reports for all of the Assets which are stored in a GIS format.  Reports can be generated to:

display the entire inventory

listing of only assets in need of replacement

replacement costs of selected assets

repair costs of selected assets
